Vittoria Zaffiro Owner Review

I purchased a pair of Vittoria Zaffiro Pro 700c  x 23 tyres on May 16, 2008 with the intention of running them on my Giant CRX 1.

The Zaffiro Pro is a folding wire bead tyre, 60 tpi and weighing 330 grams.

I have run one of the tyres on the front of Chase, my Giant CRX 1 which is an all weather commuter.  On the front, I replaced the tyre at 4,257 km.  During that time I got one puncture at 4,215 km.

Overall I would describe these tyres as work-horse tyres.  They have reasonable wear given their price point, they are a compliant tyre and the grip is reasonable given the bike the tyre has been fitted too.

I didn’t get to run one on the rear so really don’t have a idea of the wear or puncture resistance in the more demanding position of the rear wheel. However, as a front tyre on the flatbar this tyre has been money well spent.

I still have one tyre to go on the front sometime in the future.
