As at December 16, 2009 the Harvey-Dwellingup bushfire has closed the section of the Munda Biddi Trail between Dwellingup and Collie. The fire is currently being suppressed. As at December 16, 2009 the Bibbulmun Track has been closed from Swamp Oak Campsite (Map 2 – Dwellingup) to Possum Springs (Map 3 – Collie) due to a large bushfire currently burning in State Forest to the west. Walkers are asked not to walk in this section.
There are also a number of road closures in place. The fire is thought to be suspicious but no properties are in danger at this time. The fire has burnt about 9700ha.
