It sounds like you have turned off the Busch & Muller Toplight Line Plus. The red switch is an on-off button. If you push the red switch it should go back to working okay. I doubt very much that you could turn off the stand-light function given the way it works. Hope it works again.

My mum’s new Vivente has this light on the back. In an attempt to turn off the standlight function, I pushed the red switch on the back. Now the light won’t come back on at all. Of course, it didn’t come with an instruction manual for the light, and I can’t find anything in English on the B&M website. Can you give any insights? Should it just be a matter of pushing the red button again? Or do I need to hold my mouth “just right” to make it work again?

I have passed it on to MainRoads.

In part their comment to the request by Stirling was:

“The proposed lane widths were too narrow and cyclists would have been forced into a 1.0m area at the side of the road beside a vehicle lane that was generally 3.0m or less. With a vehicle lane of 3.0m or less it would have been quite a squeeze for buses and heavier vehicles, such as the one reported, to pass riders without needing to encroach into the bicycle lanes. To make matters worse riders would also have been passing vehicles parked in embayments along the length of the road. Riders would then have been at significant risk of dooring as a bike rider would have had nowhere to go if someone opened a car door in front of them while being overtaken by a vehicle. “

No worries Yes the cameras are mounted on the bike. As I see it there are advantages with helmet mounts as well. Maybe need three cameras

Why not mount a camera on your frame, it might show how close these cars get much better from a lower fixed angle.

Scary stuff. Seeing that Stirling were trying for a slightly more imaginative solution of this stretch of road, I think they and MainRoadsWA would also benefit from viewing the video.

You need to clear it. Because I am a Mac user I find it easier to use SDFormatter and do a quick format to clear the data. Deleting can be a slow process with the Mac.

Hey do you clear the memory on the jumbo after every journey or is it continuous record type thing where it overwrites until you stop it?

Thanks. Yes the Jumbo HD808 #11 is now mounted on the handlebars using a standard Rigid Mount. I need to write this up but in the meantime you can see photos of the setup here. Vibration in terms of the picture is okay (see some of my latest videos here for examples) but it does pickup a lot of road/bike noise. I really need to try and dampen that more. With these later videos the Jumbo is handlebar mounted and the Contour is in its waterproof case using a RAM mount on the rear.

You might convince me yet Actually I have a 5,000 km + ride coming up where applying your suggested method will be a good test. I will be heading off with a new chain as well and will not have the option of cleaning and degreasing like I normally do. Will be interesting to see how it works out.

Sounds like a nice find. I believe the Giant CIty is the replacement for the CRX range. If they are anything like the CRX then they are a good flatbar workhorse IMO. A bit like buying a Toyota. Bland but reliable Enjoy your new ride.

Did Chase not live to see 10kkm?
I just picked up a similar vintage bronze CRX City as my first try of an internal geared hub (Nexus Inter-8). Works well so far on pre-purchase and pos-purchase test rides.
